Legendary Butte Bars and Conservation Easements
Not too often do legendary Butte bars like the M&M and conservation easements merge into one thought, but it happened today in an editorial in the Montana Standard at
http://www.mtstandard.com/opinion/
Here's the thing about the M&M: If you couldn't have fun at the M&M, you were a dud who couldn't have fun anywhere.

Jack Rich Says "Contribute to Travelers for Open Land"
The Travelers for Open Land Facebook page received this post from Jack Rich of the Rich Ranch, a participating business in the Travelers program: Conservation efforts are worth it!!! The snowmobiling picture was taken this winter in the Horseshoe Hills near Seeley Lake. Until recently the "hills" were mostly corporate timber land and at risk of subdivision. Then the Blackfoot Challenge and Nature Conservancy got involved with the local community and as a result this landscape is now part of the Lolo National Forest and available for continued enjoyment by all. So if you have the chance - CONTRIBUTE TO TRAVELERS FOR OPEN LAND............Jack Rich

"Travelers is a Brilliant Idea"
Travelers for Open Land recently highlighted the conservation and restoration work on Odell Creek, in the Madison Valley. On Feb. 19, Travelers received this email from Jeff Laszlo of the Granger Ranches and the Odell Project Leader: "Thanks for the comments on the Odell Restoration Project. Granger Ranches and the Laszlo family are honored to be part of this collaboration. I think your idea to raise money for conservation is brilliant. What traveler would not want to contribute? Keep up the good work." (Photo of Odell Creek looking west. Photo by Alex Diekmann)
